Seldom, if ever, have I met someone who works so tirelessly to obtain the best possible results for her client. Latasha Torres, a most valuable member of the Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate Agency, proved to be that person, so much so, that I felt compelled to wordsmith this review. I decided to put pen to paper and share my total appreciation of her hard work by telling others about her. It's like this: I am a retired US Army Chief Warrant Officer who survives on an Army pension. As others who struggle to keep pace with the economy, I never have a dime to spare and manage my money tightly. But not only that, back in January of 2020, I underwent Cervical Spinal Decompression and Fusion. Although my surgery was successful and getting around is somewhat now manageable, I'm still doomed to a life of aggravating pain. Sad to say, I use to live in a two story home and found navigating up and down stairs a formidable challenge. My body couldn't take it, and so a change was sorely needed. It occurred to me that residing in a single story home would be far more suitable for my physical condition. And so I began to price homes. In the process, I encountered two major problems. First, I had a million dollar itch and with only a nickel to scratch it. In other words, my meager income fared poorly with the exorbitant cost of new homes and their accompanying high interest rate loans. Second, although I was making prodigious efforts to improve my credit worthiness, my credit rating was less than stellar. Like a ton of bricks, reality swiftly set in on me. I was not ready, prepared, nor financially able to pursue a new built single story home. I suppose I was kidding myself for it was merely a dream, one that I quitely kept to myself. That is until I met Mrs Latasha Torres. Like an angel sent from Heaven, Real Estate Agent Latasha Torres knocked on my door and introduced herself. Right away, I shared my elusive dream of owning a single story home and unfolded my sad story. To my utter surprise, she calmly convinced me not to despair and to put my mind at ease. She calculated my total income, recorded my name, age, and social security number, and asked for a day or two to get back to me. After crunching some numbers and researching my true credit rating, she assured me she would either email or call me armed with a plan of action. At the time, I resided in a two story house, and due to my physical ailment, sought to purchase a single story house. And so, our plan was two-fold. Somehow, someway, we had to sell my present home while simultaneously buy another home. As if things were'nt tough enough, beyond that, the homes had to be sold and bought within 30 days. With extreme confidence, Latasha asked me not to fret and to allow her to work her "Magic" I won't lie and will admit that sometimes the selling and buying process resembled a wild roller coaster ride. One day a potential buyer would solidly propose to buy the home, and then only the next day attempt to low ball us with a ridiculously low offer or simply walk away from the total deal. Now I'm a seasoned retired army soldier with an additional 15 years experience as a hard-core prison guard, but I'm here to tell you that the numerous unexpected ups and downs nearly made me faint. However Latasha, confronted with each let down and sudden disappointment, she dug in her heels, strategized, and devise another solution. Surprisingly and gleefully, with Latasha's vast knowledge of the ins and outs of real estate transactions, the whole process of selling and buying a home took less than 30 days. In fact, I sold my home and received substantial equity in the process, enough to make a sizeable down payment on my new home. Latasha made certain we met each and every deadline, and now I'm a happy new owner of a four (4) bedroom two bathroom gorgeous single story home. Her extensive knowlege of real estate coupled with her sincere heartfelt desire to help each and every client is not only impressive but also admirable.
